Handsets Going In Discovery Mode

To stop handsets going into discover mode in the 46xxsettings.txt change;

SET UNNAMEDSTAT 0

And reboot your handsets

  2. I tend to disagree with the statement made. Unnamed Stat is enabling users to make emergency calls when not logged into the phone with a physical extension and password.

    Phones will only go into discovery mode if it cannot see the Gateway or Clan card it needs to register to, or it cannot find the DHCP helper address on the data switch that it is connected to in order to get an IP address and the 46xxsettings.txt file location from SSON 242 on the DHCP server

    1. Thanks for your comments Giel, from what I remember in this case despite putting the IP address range in CM for these handset, when logged out they would still time out and go into discovery mode along with the annoying beep this was the only way we could get round it at the time.
